We have gotten in Kate Spain's line Good Fortune for Moda.

I managed to get a top made using the Another Bite of Schnibbles book by Carrie Nelson. I used the small Round About pattern found in there which uses charms squares. The quilt went together quickly. Stop by and get your fabric while it lasts!
Beverly brought in her finished scrappy version of the Shoppe's Quilt Sampler quilt. She decided to do it more organized this time and each block uses just two different fabrics, one for the background and one for the dark.
Scrappy can be however you like it. For us it depends on the mood of the day. She was in a much more scrappy mood the day she pieced this version of the quilt!

It is hard to for me to decide which I like better. I think it shows that each has it place in the world of quilts. It is fun to play around and try different combinations.
We have kits available to both of these quilts as well as some left for the blue version that is found in the magazine and the red version and the black version. We will be making up other versions as the whim hits us. We like to see how they will look when we try other fabrics. I think soon Beverly will be able to make this quilt in her sleep!
Well that is all for today as I need to get busy getting ready for Midnight Madness. It is about that time again. I can't wait to see what our group of ladies will be up to this time. I do know one thing, they will have a fun time!
Happy quilting!
