I'm trying to keep up with it. Yesterday during the Civil War Sewing Circle Club they were cracking the whip at me to get out the newest line in the Shoppe Elizabethtown by Jo Morton for Andover. I got it inventoried, but never up on the shelf as they were raiding the bolts while they were still on the floor. It is a nice line.
Andover has a free pattern that goes with this line on their website. http://www.andoverfabrics.com/Quilts/Elizabethtown.pdf
We also got out the black and cheddar colorway of Carolina by Jo Morton for Andover.
This line was put out last week, but I'm just now getting caught up enough to get it on here.
We are hoping to soon have 1862 Battle Hymn available. This line is by Barbara Brackman for Moda. I can't wait! We currently have the charms and Jelly Rolls.
Our week off wasn't anything like we had planned. We were both sick and didn't get anything done that we had planned. I think I've been sick since the 8th of December. We think the worse is over now and starting to get something done. I thought I was getting better right before Christmas so was able to make some cookies, what a surprise. I know Joe couldn't believe it! We had chocolate chip and chocolate mint.
We got to baby sit Abby. She was sick too as well as her papa and mama. She was still smilie.
She tried to climb the stairs.
Nothing will slow her down.
We love books and want to introduce her to them. She is developing a taste for books!
We didn't get things done at the house like we had planned. However since the bed was moved out of the sewing room early on vacation Joe was able to bring up the cabinet to the room. It is helping with storage and I have more room to move around. Still there is more work to do to get the room where I really want it.
The quilt on the design wall actually did get made and quilted. It is now hanging up in the Shoppe.
Finished this panel of bluework.
Started and finished this panel.
Started another one, but don't have a picture of that one. I may get this quilt done someday!
I am now working on the last main quilt for the Prairie Women Sewing Circle. I had to add more flannel on the wall to have room for all the blocks.
It looks so much better with the setting squares and triangles. I managed to get them cut out last night and put up on the wall. I can't wait to start piecing them altogether!
I had so much fun with the make-do elements in this quilt. I would have loved to find a brown/red solid to make-do in the setting but to no avail.
Last of all here is the way I found Jr. one day while on vacation. He is such a baby.
He is Lint's little boy, the only male of the litter.
Happy quilting!
