The counting is all over! Now to focus on other things. There has been a lot going on here even with all the counting going on to top it off I've been sick for about two weeks too.
We did get in the Blueberry Crumb Cake fabric a couple of weeks ago.
I haven't even had time to think about this wonderful line now that it is here. I love the colors and will have to do something with it. Just when will I have time to get to it? I can dream that it will be soon, but there is so much to catch up on.
We also have our brown, tan, pink and red version kit of our Quilt Sampler quilt ready. Thanks to Beverly we have a sample of that here too. All I've been able to do is walk by the kit and want to get started on mine! At least it is pretty in the package too!
This version can be stitched up scrappy as Beverly decided to do it or you can choose to go a more organized route. I think today I'd go the very scrappy way. Every once in awhile I'll decide against that but it is very rare. We still have some other colorways in our minds. In fact one has almost escaped and is about to kitted up, if only we had more time and energy in a day. Stay tuned for the beginning of next year... we hope!
We just got in two different sets of precuts from Moda. The first I'll talk about is 1862 Battle Hymn. I'm loving this one. The colors are so warm, totally what I love. I can't wait to get my hands on them and turn them into a quilt!
Now this next group of precuts are special because some of our customers helped to pick them out! So if you especailly like these you can thank your fellow customers for selecting them. I was torn between two lines but this one won out! I think it is a good choice. This is Good Fortune by Kate Spain.
We are looking forward to January when both of these lines fabric are suppose to arrive.
We got in some books from Martingale.

Lets see is there is anything else new with the Shoppe? We did get in a box of fabric today! It is one that I've been waiting for for a while now. It is the black and gold colorway of Carolina by Jo Morton. I haven't had the time to get them out of the box yet. I'm not sure if they will get out before next year. That makes me a bit sad.
We have been busy personally too. Last week we were closed on Friday and Saturday. Friday we were closed because Elisabeth graduated from ECU with a BFA degree. She managed to go to college full time, work part time with at least one part time job, sometimes up to three and commute an hour each way to school and still graduate with a 4.0. Great job! So proud of her. I thought I was going to be smart and take pictures of the graduation. I mean I take pictured here all the time, so it would be no problem. Well I couldn't get a clear picture and couldn't figure out why. Later I found I had the camera on the wrong setting.
Saturday we were closed because it was Elisabeth's wedding day. I made sure that the camera was on the correct setting for that day. I learned my lesson. We got to the church two hours before the wedding and were the nursery. In order to pass time we were thinking up pictures to take. I'll share a few with you.
As time crept on the girls started to come up with ideas for photos in hopes to pass the time. Here are some of the results...
There was still over an hour to go as can be seen by the clock in the picture. However I'll stop with these. Well, just one more as I have to get Abby in here. This is after the wedding while pictures were being taken.
She just said her first word today, "Papa"!
Well if you made it to the end of this you did good! I hope you have a wonderful time sewing.
Until next time!
