We just got in and out on the floor some Itsy Bits by Andover. These were suppose to come in long ago, well in July/Aug, but something unkind happened on the way to the quilt shoppe and the Andover warehouses got flooded. I really didn't expect these fabrics to arrive here until next year so imagine my surprise when they showed up! These fabrics just have "itsy bits" on them, making them almost a solid. I think we can sneak them into our 19th century quilts without most people even realizing!
We had actually ordered more fabric mainly for our color room to fill in gaps. It was nice as Joe recongized that we needed more yellow, gold and orange in that little section of the room. We had tried to order more but they must have gotten flooded. Hopefully next year we will see them. I'm now hoping that maybe, somehow they too will show up early! If I remember correctly there was some chrome yellow, poison green, cheddar and madder reds. Time will tell what happens but I can sit here wishing.
I have looked and looked for that goldish color ever since first opening and selling out of the original gold in the Sturbridge collection. This is as close as I've found as far as color goes. I know that some customers have gotten to see the fabric in the box, still in plastic and are as excited as I am to finally see some more of that shade of yellow/gold back. Well it is here to buy once again!
I hope that you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving. It was nice getting together with family. Of course having our first grandchild having her first Thanksgiving with us was extra special!
