The Best Laid Plans...

I don't like complaining blogs, e-mails etc so I really don't want to write this blog, but it has to be done as it will effect you all.

As you know we have added online shopping on our website and this blog for that matter. When we were first doing our research about the online shopping and talking with people we came upon the company that we chose because the person we talked to assured us that we could still keep our original site that Joshua designed for us and when you would click on the button for online shopping it would take you to their "site" and you would never know the difference. Well I am sure that you all can see a difference as we no longer can post our newsletters or class schedules in their PDF form. It seems that our site is no longer ours. I'm not sure what ever happened to our pictures but they aren't right either. This is going to take so much longer for us to get out newsletters and class schedules that I'm not sure when you will see them on this website. I am so disappointed in this company for not doing what they said and not listening to us at the beginning. It seems they just wanted to get us to give them our money and then jerk us around.

Since we were told we were going to be in the Quilt Sampler we have run into so much of this kind of thing. People who tell you one thing and then you come to find out that they really didn't do or aren't going to do what they tell. I am tired of people not doing the job they are being paid to do and then causing us to run around trying to put out the fires they have started. It isn't helping us serve you with all these distractions of trying to figure out how to get around their incompatence and get things ready for you.

First the VP of Windham promised they would be printing the line for our Sampler quilt and that he would hold bolts back for us. He didn't. The bag lady who said she would send us the bags as soon as we knew the yardage that the Quilt Sampler said we had to use for our quilt decided it was important to go off on vacation at some remote place without internet, or cell phone reception two weekends in a row so we didn't have what we needed when we needed it.

Now to get to reason for this blog. Windham has once again made it so that we are not getting the fabrics we ordered for the General's Wives Block of the Month that is suppose to start October 1st.  They are waiting on one bolt of fabric. However, I don't have the patterns either as the lady who made the patterns is busy with a bus trip for her shop and hasn't had time to mail out all the patterns. I haven't even bothered to inquire about where the shop kit is for making up the quilt ahead of time as that time is long gone, but I was too busy putting out all the above fires to even have time to think about sitting at a sewing machine and making up the whole quilt.

Generals Wives BOM So for all of you who are anxiously waiting for this BOM to start we are now waiting. I don't think I'll ever do anything that is time sensitive that Windham is involved in and I don't think I'll ever do a BOM that is written by this designer. If I do I will need to get my head examined. I am sorry for the delay in this program. Please stay tuned and I'll let you know as soon as the fabric and patterns are in and the kits for the first month are ready. Thanks for understanding.

Also since there are no calendars up or newsletter this is a reminder that we are going to be closing early this Saturday, October 1st at 1:30.

I hope that you all are having a nice day of sewing and quilting.
